Emily Dickson joined Hope House as the resident and program director in February 2025 and transitioned to program coordinator in 2026. Prior to that, Emily was a public school educator for almost seven years in Polk County. She taught a variety of grade levels at an elementary level and was also part of her school’s leadership team, training new teachers and working alongside them to reach students who needed more support. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the University of South Florida—Go Bulls! She is passionate about spiritual mentorship and walking alongside women as they journey to become self-sufficient. Creating a safe place where teen moms can feel seen and loved in the context of relationships is so important to her. Emily also has the honor of serving as the kids director at her church, where she gets to teach kids about the love of God. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, enjoying the beauty of nature (especially a beautiful beach sunset) and reading Biblical fiction books!
